Silent Hill f: Official Release Date Revealed!

Silent Hill f has made a lot of noise since it was announced a while ago, especially after showing us some impressive cinematics during the Silent Hill Transmission back in March this year. Still, although at that time we got to know several details about it, we had to wait quite a bit to find out when it would finally be in our hands. Well yes gamer, the time has come. Just a day ago, during the PlayStation State of Play 2025 event, Konami not only let us see much more of the game, including some of its gameplay, but also finally announced its long-awaited official release date!

Silent Hill f will be released for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store this upcoming September 25th, 2025!! Which, let’s admit it, is much earlier than we were expecting, right? Considering the last thing we got from Silent Hill was the remake of its second entry back in October 2024, it’s good to know that it won’t even be a full year before we can try out firsthand more of this unique horror we’re all so passionate about! Yes, I’ve said “we all”, otherwise why would I be writing this and you reading it? XD … Come on, let’s take a look together at the Official Release Date Trailer shown at State of Play 2025, courtesy of GameTrailers:

Horror at Its Finest, Arriving in September

Now we know that the next masterpiece in this iconic saga is right around the corner: Silent Hill f, developed by NeoBards Entertainment Ltd. and published by the giant KONAMI, will hit the market in less than four months, and our expectations couldn’t be higher, especially because along with this amazing, well-received news, they’ve shown us quite a bit of its gameplay, as you’ll have seen in the video above, which left us blown away! Apparently, in this new entry, the “other side” will be much scarier in Ebisugaoka than in previous locations from the franchise.

If you thought we had reason to be scared after that cinematic reveal back in March, now you’ve got even more reason to feel the fear, seeing some of the actual monsters we’ll be encountering in the game, not just characters from an animation, but the ones we’ll be facing in the middle of the fog, while we run through those suffocating labyrinthine hallways between rotting wooden walls. Abominations made of flowers with giant tongues, creepy mannequins that we always love to see in any horror game, and a special mention for those twisted “dolls” trying to stab Hinako in the video! We could say there’ll be scares for every taste, right?

Among the things worth mentioning, we can highlight that our protagonist will be able to defend herself using objects from the environment as melee weapons, sticks, pipes, etc., which, of course, will always be appreciated. Even though Silent Hill f defines itself as a “psychological horror” game, we all know that what we come looking for here, and what they’ll deliver, is pure and raw survival horror! Tell me I’m wrong! XD

Last but not least, we’ve noticed the detail that at one point Hinako’s shirt sleeve tears, and stays that way for the rest of the gameplay, which leads us to wonder whether her clothes or appearance will suffer real-time damage that will remain visible going forward. If so, that would clearly be an impressive detail, which, like all these elements, would add immensely to the immersion.

Even though its story aims to captivate us, Silent Hill f will come with the full intention of making us suffer, and it won’t hold back to do it, so get ready gamer!
