As far as we know, Delta Force is a free-to-play tactical shooter with various multiplayer modes, a solo or cooperative campaign, and extensive weapon customization, reminiscent of other genre heavyweights. As a curious fact, for those who may not know, this franchise has been around for over 25 years:

  • The first Delta Force game arrived in 1998, developed by NovaLogic, a studio then known for its military simulation games. Initially, it utilized a “voxelgraphics engine to represent vast open environments, which was quite innovative at the time, and became even more widespread when used for the famous first version of the game Outcast in 1999. Its missions emulated real U.S. special forces operations with a strong focus on tactics and stealth.
  • Delta Force 2 followed in 1999, reaching its audience just a year after its predecessor, and aimed to expand the original formula with larger maps and more complex missions. Here we also saw improvements in graphics and innovative multiplayer options.
  • Delta Force: Land Warrior arrived in 2000, introducing new playable characters with new abilities and a much more extensive and versatile arsenal. Here, there were further graphical improvements and a more immersive overall experience.

Among those titles that seem so distant, and this one that calls us today, much water has passed under the bridge. Indeed, we’re talking about the tenth installment of the franchise, which undoubtedly stirs the excitement and anticipation of many, to mention something.
