Mistfall Hunter: Frantic Action TBA This Year

Recently, we’ve commented a lot on how successful or chaotic it can turn out to be to “blend” several elements or features present in games, or simply different genres of them. Well, it seems the guys at BELLRING GAMES will try to take that mix to the extreme. Mistfall Hunter is introduced as an extraction action RPG, with a third-person medieval setting, PVPVE mechanics full of frantic combat, and a visual display like no other, packed with spells, weapons, and monsters.

Although it’s planned for this year, its official release date hasn’t been announced yet. We have to say, its look is amazing. Five classes to choose from, among which we’ll find weapons, gear, spells, and unique abilities, with the possibility of freely switching dynamically between two main weapons or combat styles. If you want to see for yourself how it looks, take a look at the video we’ve left right below these lines, courtesy of GameTrailers:

Something About Its Story and Gameplay Mechanics

In the wake of an epic war between gods and outer gods, all deities have fallen. Their blood has turned into the Gyldenmist, a corrosive force that sweeps across the land, warping the souls of the living and driving them to madness and monstrous mutations. Amidst the Gyldenmist, a few resilient humans cling to their sanity, seeking refuge in the last remnants of civilization. Yet, hope endures. From the shadows steps Dew, a mysterious girl with the power to resurrect fallen heroes and grant them immortal bodies. These reborn champions, known as Gylden Hunters, follow Dew into the heart of peril, battling Gyldenized creatures and harvesting Gyldenblod. Their mission is to mend the shattered Web of Fate and rekindle a spark of hope in a world on the brink of oblivion.

“Experience fluid, third-person combat like never before! Introducing the ‘precision aiming‘ system to add a thrilling new dimension to traditional action gameplay. Chain together devastating combos, strike enemy weak points with pinpoint accuracy, and sync up with your teammates for unbeatable synergy as you overcome any foe that stands in your way!”

“Experience 5 distinct classes: Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix, and Seer! Each class features unique weapons, equipment, and characteristics, with the ability to freely switch between two weapons or combat styles. Choose your class and style, then craft your very own build from a selection of over 10 skills and various talents. Collect high-level gear, upgrade affixes, and unlock potent passives to take your build to the next level!”

“As a Gylden Hunter, you can go solo or team up with up to two friends. In the harsh mist, there are no heroes—only survivors and those who fall. Choose different classes and coordinate tactics with your teammates to enhance your combat effectiveness and increase your chances of escape. The land is rich with precious Gyldenblod and endless loot. But beware—you’re not alone. Fearsome Corroded creatures and cunning rivals will stop at nothing to stand in your way. Every battle is a high-stakes gamble, where death means losing everything you’ve fought for. Break through enemy lines, find the Returner Woodling, and retreat to the safety of your camp. Will you be the hunter, or the hunted?”

So…

The information you can read above was taken directly from the Steam page for Mistfall Hunter. Leaving aside the game’s own description in the words of its developers, eager to sell their product, objectively the truth is that the game really does look great. Its combat overflows with dynamism and action, and its visual style looks attractive and striking. Its PVPVE mechanic in an extraction RPG adds a high level of replayability, where in theory, no run would be the same. Of course, to confirm that, we’ll have to wait for the launch, right?

The official release date for Mistfall Hunter hasn’t been announced yet, but you can already add it to your Wishlist from its Steam page, and even better, you can visit its official website and sign up for its second Closed Beta.
