Heart Of The Forest: Live Horror – Out Now!

Back in June 2025, we talked about Dead Reset here, an intriguing interactive cinematic horror story from Wales Interactive and Dark Rift Horror, in which the protagonist was trapped in a time loop where he died again and again, only to start over each time. Dead Reset was released in September 2025 and currently has a huge number of positive reviews on Steam. This time, it is indie studio Trapped Predator who has teamed up with Wales Interactive, which acts only as the publisher this time, and together they have just released Heart of the Forest, a new interactive cinematic experience of pure horror in which the performances, as in other titles from the same studio, stand out.

Heart of the Forest was released on February 12, 2026 and is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, iOS devices, Android and PC. Its proposal is a top tier live action experience, just as the publisher usually does. This time, the action takes place in the Black Forest, a mountainous region in southwestern Germany that borders France and is famous for its dense woods and landscapes often associated with the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. This is where the story begins, when a hiking trip goes terribly wrong and turns into a nightmare in which the only thing that matters is surviving.

The Darkest Side of the Black Forest

The story of Heart of the Forest is inspired by ancient tales of vengeful spirits from this mysterious place in Germany. The game offers an immersive and chilling interactive experience whose plot follows a group of students who, during a hike, become trapped under the influence of a vengeful spirit that corrupts the forest. As they try to survive, the protagonists must face not only the dangers of the environment, but also their own fears, traumas and secrets from the past. With strong inspiration from German folklore, this title focuses on a branching narrative in which the user’s decisions determine who survives.

The story unfolds from multiple points of view, allowing players to follow different characters and shape the development of events through their choices. This also adds an important replayability factor, which, as we know, is always welcome. It is not officially confirmed, but productions of this type are expected to have multiple endings, so it is up to us to be prepared for everything: in this adventure, the vast forest will become a suffocating place where we will feel stalked at every step by a demonic presence that at some point will make us distrust even our travel companions. Avoid falling into the corruption of the forest and survive at all costs, those will be our top priorities!
