PS Plus April 2025: New Games Revealed

PlayStation has revealed the monthly games that will be available in April 2025 for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Whether you are an Essential PS Plus user, or part of the Extra or Premium Tier, you will have access to the three titles we will tell you about below starting this coming April 1st. Of course they won’t always be AAA, but among the catalog they release every month, we have found some real gems, or in other words, can’t-miss titles.

This month in particular, and having paid close attention to player feedback, PlayStation has set out to deliver something for every taste, covered in three games as entertaining as they are different. This can only mean guaranteed fun and hours on the console, right? Let’s check them out:

Robocop: Rogue City_20231028232050

PS Plus Essential: April 2025 Games

RoboCop: Rogue City

We start off strong, with one of those can’t-miss games we mentioned earlier: RoboCop: Rogue City. You probably already know everything about this game, but a little recap never hurts. Here you assume the role of the iconic officer Alex Murphy, half human, half machine, a product of the retro-futuristic vision of 80s cinema, now starring in an original story set somewhere between the events of RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3. In this action FPS you patrol the streets of Old Detroit, taking on criminals with your signature Auto-9 and an arsenal of deadly weapons, not to mention a few limitations unique to this steel golem, like the inability to crouch or run, but… come on… you’re RoboCop! Why would you need to run or hide? XD

This game, developed entirely in UE5, maintains a level of graphics that is enviable and fluid. Despite the mixed reviews from the “specialized press,” RoboCop: Rogue City remains one of the best entries in the popular officer Murphy franchise. Its story, backed by a solid narrative approach where your decisions as a player influence the outcome, faithfully recreates both the iconic settings and characters from the movie saga, featuring the original actor Peter Weller.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Inspired by the 1974 cinematic classic, this asymmetric multiplayer horror game lets you choose between two roles: be a victim or join the terrifying Sawyer family. This formula has been praised and used successfully many times, and this is exactly one of those cases. As a victim, your goal is to escape alive using stealth, strategy, and very limited resources. On the other hand, as a killer, you must hunt and capture the survivors before they manage to get away.

We are looking at an immersive horror experience that combines survival and co-op gameplay with an atmosphere faithful to the original film. Without a doubt, an excellent option for playing online with friends or random people and guaranteeing some good scares, along with an effective and addictive system. Do you think you’ve got what it takes to survive The Texas Chain Saw Massacre?

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory

Closing out this trio of free games for the month of April, we have Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory. This turn-based RPG based on the Digimon universe puts you in the shoes of Keisuke Amazawa, a young man wrongly accused of a crime he didn’t commit. To clear your name, you dive into the digital world, facing hackers and hidden threats. The game features over 320 Digimon to train and evolve, offering a deep experience if you consider yourself a fan of the franchise. With its engaging story and strategic combat system, this title is ideal for you if you are looking for an adventure with exploration, battles, and digital creature management.

Digimon is a franchise that has had numerous video games on PlayStation and that has evolved over time, but Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory is without a doubt one of the most acclaimed in its history. Even though it was released in December 2017 in Japan, and a month later in January 2018 in the rest of the world, it still holds up thanks to its charismatic creatures and a world full of nature and main and side quests to complete.
