Deathground: Next Coop Dino-Survival Horror
Jaw Drop Games will soon announce their new title, Deathground, a survival horror where we will be able to play either cooperatively or solo, facing a desperate battle to stay alive while dealing with AI-controlled dinosaurs. While it may not boast an excess of originality, we have to say it, as a whole it definitely looks fun, something worth dedicating a few hours to, whether alone or with friends.
Deathground, fully developed in UE5, is Jaw Drop Games’ second title after Gun Jam, a sci-fi rhythm action FPS released in April 2023. In this case, the genres of both games differ completely, since the other one is a fast-paced rhythmic shooter, while this new title focuses on surviving alone or accompanied against terrible dinosaurs capable of thinking for themselves. Do you want to see what it looks like? We invite you to watch the Official Gameplay Teaser Trailer brought to you by IGN:
A Squad-Based Dino-Survival Horror
Deathground will offer players team-based objectives, in suspenseful environments loaded with deadly danger lurking behind every corner. In that mode, teamwork and cooperation will be essential for survival. If, instead, we choose to face this adventure solo, we will enter at our own risk, obviously having different objectives, and experiencing how the terror intensifies as we try to survive and escape completely without help.
In general terms, gameplay dynamics will be based on objectives, stealth, teamwork, and combat at the right moment, and trust us, there won’t be many of those. As players, we will be able to interact with various weapons and tools, exploring different and dangerous environments, and looking for the best ways to dodge, whenever possible, the deadly threats posed by these massive and wild carnivores, to complete crucial missions.

A Deadly and Adaptive AI
The dinosaurs will be dynamic and reactive, and will hunt you relentlessly, constantly influencing decision-making and offering a gameplay experience tailored to each player. In addition, we will have to deal with the generation of processes, events, and dynamic objectives that will create unique and attractive gameplay sequences in each match, which will undoubtedly provide high replayability.
As for the environments, they will be truly terrifying, distressing, and diverse, allowing us to experience pure fear in claustrophobic settings that will put our survival instincts to the test. And all of this will be enhanced by the realism we’ll enjoy in-game, thanks to the power of Unreal Engine 5, along with a disturbing soundtrack by composer David Housden (Thomas was Alone, Volume, Q.U.B.E. 2), BAFTA-nominated.
Last but not least, the developers warn that the game may contain content not suitable for all ages or for viewing at work, frequent violence or bloody scenes, and adult-style content of this kind.

Now then, its release date is still to be announced, as well as its technical requirements, but you can already add Deathground to your Wishlist on Steam. So while we wait, let’s scroll through the comments and talk about what we think of this proposal. You know gamer, we’ll be reading you! 🙂
