PlayStation Drops Their Prices on Steam!
Despite being so highly protective of their intellectual property, Sony dazzles us with incredible discounts on Steam. If we’re being objective, we could almost suppose the company is trying to recoup some losses from a recent widely-publicized failure, but let’s not make unnecessary assumptions, right? 😉 … Sony has raised the flag, saying they are celebrating the upcoming release of God of War: Ragnarok on PC, and because of this, we can enjoy events like this. The important thing here is that many of these titles are literally iconic and are now available with discounts of up to 80%, which, let’s admit, is quite a lot…

Big Discounts!
Users who log in to Steam this week can find, on the store’s main page, a section called ‘Publisher Offers‘ focused on PlayStation games. The discounts, ranging from 20% to 80%, apply to all of the company’s games currently available on Valve’s platform except for Predator Hunting Grounds. The reason for this exception is unknown, but being a multiplayer-as-a-service game released over three years ago that didn’t quite take off, it’s not like Sony has given it much importance.
Knowing that Sony has only just begun publishing their games on PC, you can imagine that the number of games on sale isn’t huge. However, the ones that are available are of very high quality. Plus, we wanted to highlight it, as we’ve found several titles that are discounted for the first time or have hit their lowest historical price.

Which games are we talking about? Let’s see…
- Helldivers – Dive Harder Edition for $4.27: An 80% discount (it used to cost $21.39) for the first game in the saga. It frequently drops in price, but it’s always a good opportunity to see how Arrowhead Studios has evolved.
- Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture for $7.05: A 67% discount (it used to cost $21.39) for a very interesting non-linear narrative walking simulator.
- Days Gone for $13.36: A 75% discount (it used to cost $53.49) for one of PlayStation‘s most divisive exclusives. Zombies in an open post-apocalyptic world with action, adventure, and a biker as the protagonist.
- Horizon Zero Dawn – Complete Edition for $13.36: A 75% discount (it used to cost $53.49) for the open world that saw the birth of Aloy, one of PlayStation’s most iconic faces in recent years. Plenty of RPG touches in a highly recommended adventure.
- God of War for $21.39: A 60% discount (it used to cost $53.49) for the game responsible for rebooting one of PlayStation‘s most emblematic sagas. Here began the adventure of Kratos and Atreus, which continues in Ragnarok.
- Uncharted – Legacy of Thieves Collection for $26.74: A 50% discount (it used to cost $53.49) for the adventure that closed a legendary saga. It includes both the original game “A Thief’s End” and the spin-off “The Lost Legacy.”
- Sackboy – A Big Adventure for $32.09: A 50% discount (it used to cost $64.19) for a 3D platforming adventure designed for multiplayer. Perfect for playing with friends or family.
- Helldivers 2 for $34.23: A 20% discount (it used to cost $42.79) for Sony’s big game-as-a-service. It’s about to receive a gigantic update.
- Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for $38.51: A 40% discount (it used to cost $59.99) for the open-world game that reminded us of the potential of superhero games. Its movement mechanics are said to be some of the best in the industry.
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales for $32.09: A 40% discount (it used to cost $53.49) for the direct sequel to Spider-Man Remastered.
- Returnal for $38.51: A 40% discount (it used to cost $64.19) for one of PlayStation’s most unusual first-party games in recent history, but also a third-person roguelike shooter worth knowing.
- The Last of Us – Part 1 for $38.51: A 40% discount (it used to cost $64.19) for one of Sony’s standards since the PlayStation 3 generation. It’s never been available at such a low price.
- Ghost of Tsushima – Director’s Cut for $44.93: A 20% discount (it used to cost $64.19) for the last PlayStation game to arrive on PC. This is the first time the samurai open world has been on sale on this platform.
- Horizon Forbidden West – Complete Edition for $51.35: A 20% discount (it used to cost $64.19) for the second part of Aloy’s adventure. It’s not common to see it on sale.

Now, gamer, it’s up to you to decide whether to buy or not—perhaps the most important decision of all—since you are at the end of this line, the target, the consumer of this service. Just keep in mind that PlayStation’s discounts on Steam end on September 19, so you only have a couple more days from when you read this to decide where to invest your savings… or whether to keep them XD. Also, don’t overlook the fact that many of these games are among the most interesting and acclaimed titles of recent years!

Now, how about checking out the comments and letting us know what you think of this great sale? Or better yet, tell us about your favorite titles from this list, or if you’ve already decided or purchased one of these titles. Here at Max Level Gamer, we want to hear it all!
