During Summer Game Fest 2025 we got tons of announcements and very promising news. Among them, one of the games that surely caught everyone’s attention was ILL, a highly immersive and realistic survival horror whose release will be announced soon, and will be available for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. Although Team Cloud Inc., the studio developing it, is completely new, at least as a studio itself, it’s made up of horror experts across multiple platforms, as we’ll see further on.
ILL is a realistic first-person horror, action, and survival game, and its overall combination of visuals, sound, and gameplay makes it highly immersive, almost futuristic from a technical standpoint, at least in my humble opinion. ILL is out to test even the toughest veterans of the genre, so, to be blunt, it obviously won’t be a title for those who consider themselves faint of heart or who scare easily. Why do we say this? Immersive and Realistic Horror Like Never Before
Okay, this title is so self-explanatory that we could almost end the article right here. Yeah, we’re feeling very creative today XD… But it’s true, ILL promises to be the next step in terms of immersion in a survival horror, as you’ve probably noticed from its gameplay. Regarding its setting, we don’t have too many details, so we’ll tell you what we know, which isn’t much: the game will throw us into a suspense-filled story set in a large research facility. Here, a malevolent entity will haunt us almost from the beginning, not to mention other terrible abominations that will hunt us down relentlessly.
One of the key aspects that could make ILL a huge success is its clear goal of making us feel firsthand what it really means to fight for our life. The level of immersion and, above all, realism in this game is such that we’ll even be able to destroy and mutilate terrible monsters in indescribable ways, and on top of that, it features very polished and realistic physics. Every minute, torn flesh, exposed bones, and gutted bodies will chill our blood as we try to survive in an environment where even the sounds seem to conspire against us!
As if all this weren’t enough, even our character’s movement will feel almost painful. Through meticulously crafted animations, the various weapons will feel tangible in our hands, each with its own weight and mechanics. Here, just having good aim won’t be enough, as we’ll constantly need to check our inventory and arsenal for defects, and we’ll also have to modify and improve our weapons. Likewise, we’ll need to be strategically wise when managing our inventory, as our ability to craft a certain item could often mean the difference between life and death.
Team Cloud Inc.: A New Studio Formed by Horror Experts
While ILL will be the first title from this new studio Team Cloud Inc., its developers are by no means newcomers to horror. Among them are genre experts who’ve worked in film and TV with well-known studios and directors. Their work can be seen in titles like Longlegs, Until Dawn, V/H/S/Beyond, It: Welcome to Derry, Azrael, and many others. And as if that weren’t enough, the well-known Mundfish recently joined the ILL project, which brings the developers much closer to their goal of delivering “a game that gets into our mind and exposes our deepest fears one by one.”
As you probably already know, Mundfish made a strong debut in the market with its Atomic Heart (2023), and is currently working on developing its sequel, Atomic Heart 2, as we already mentioned in our article about Summer Game Fest 2025, and hey, if you happened to skip over that above, you can check it out right here by clicking THIS LINK to find out about some other surprises they’re preparing for us. Recently, besides being a development studio, they have joined Team Cloud Inc. as publishers of their first video game ILL, further accelerating and enhancing the development of this work, which promises to be truly revolutionary in several ways.

Okay, let’s recap. ILL will be the first video game from Team Cloud Inc., a studio that, while new, is made up of horror experts from various other platforms like video games, film, and TV. They also currently have the support of Mundfish as partners and publishers, which is obviously a huge plus. While it doesn’t yet have an official release date, we can expect news very soon, so it would be wise on our part to keep an eye on it.
