STORROR Parkour Pro: Just Released Now!
This is the first game from the indie developer Hole in the Sleeve Game Studios: the game STORROR Parkour Pro was released yesterday, March 31st, and even though there are definitely still details to polish, it looks fantastic and seems to want to redefine the way parkour is lived through video games. Tall buildings, impossible jumps suspended in a few seconds of slow motion that feel eternal as we wonder if what we’re doing will turn out right, or if we’ll inevitably plunge into the void!
This game aims to be faithful to the sport and the culture of Parkour, allowing us to challenge the limits of movement and experience true freedom while exploring a vast and dynamic world, full of challenges and missions, and countless places to visit whether alone or with friends. We’ll be part of the STORROR team if we wish, or we’ll be able to create a completely independent character to roam the streets and rooftops of London’s Isle of Dogs. Well, I think this title pretty much explains itself just by watching the video up there, right? In STORROR Parkour Pro we find a cutting-edge animation system that combines motion-captured animations from the best parkour athletes in the world with physics-based movements that aim to create the perfect balance between realism and arcade-style gameplay, reaching new levels when it comes to games based on extreme sports.
Maybe the tutorial takes you even longer than saying the name of the studio, but keep in mind that having such a monumental display of movements and physics means nothing if you don’t know how to use them, right? The control system is intuitive, engaging, and will give you total freedom of choice and action in every movement. Easy to learn, but hard to master.
More Than Just a Parkour Simulator
STORROR Parkour Pro goes far beyond the limits of a simple parkour simulator: here you have, in addition to the dynamic open world, missions, challenges and escapes, different instances that will allow us to destabilize the pre-established order, racing against the clock in a stage while it’s being demolished, or challenging our friends to different competitions. If you’re a completionist, here you’ll be able to roam the whole city accumulating points, and discovering new and more extreme challenges, not only the ones that are present in the game right now, but also the ones that will be added gradually.
We all know that parkour is a community sport, and in the same way STORROR Parkour Pro has set out to be, offering us a wide variety of activities to complete cooperatively, or competitions to find out who’s the biggest parkour professional. In this way, multiplayer is one of the strongest and most fun aspects of this proposal.
