Loulan: The Cursed Sand – ARPG TBA Soon

The studio ChillyRoom has released only a few titles, four to be exact, but its work has been relentless, as they have released a huge amount of downloadable content for their games from 2022 until now, no less than 88 DLC in total! Now they are preparing to announce their next game, a fantasy ARPG set along the ancient Silk Road (the extensive network of trade routes active from the 1st century BC to the 15th century that connected China with the Mediterranean Sea, crossing Asia and North Africa).

Loulan: The Cursed Sand will be a pure fantasy action RPG adventure in which we will step into the role of a skeletal warrior known as the Cursed Sand, who possesses the ancient power of the sands, and we will have to explore the lost kingdom of Loulan while fighting grueling battles against increasingly tough enemies as we search for our beloved princess. The Power of the Sands, like you have Never Imagined

Loulan: The Cursed Sand will transport us into a tragic love story in which a royal guard who had been exiled returns to the kingdom of Loulan, which lies amid the chaos of war, and desperately searches for his beloved princess. We will embody the skeletal warrior known as “The Cursed Sand”, who commands the power of the sand to explore and solve puzzles, while engaging in realistic melee combat against overwhelming enemies, defeating powerful adversaries and uncovering the secrets of his own existence in the process.

In addition to the fitting isometric view for this genre, one of the standout aspects of its gameplay is the protagonist’s ability to switch between his bone and sand forms, allowing him to alternate dynamic combos across an endless variety of combat styles, as well as varied ways of interacting with the environment. The terrain design, enemy composition, and combat mechanics will intertwine to test our skill and strategy.

In this title, every puzzle, every enemy, and every innovative way of exploring and uncovering secrets will contribute something to the story, bringing us closer and closer to solving the mystery surrounding our origin and discovering the fate of our beloved princess. The atmosphere has been carefully crafted to evoke the ancient Silk Road settings, imbuing them with that irresistible touch of epic fantasy and folklore that sets the perfect tone for this complicated love story.
