Cosmic horror will return in full, this time brought to us by Hitori De Productions, a studio consisting of a single developer we had already mentioned on this site. On this occasion, they will bring us Bleak Haven, a first-person survival horror inspired by the horrors imagined by the master H. P. Lovecraft, and will launch on Steam this October 27th, in less than three weeks! Its concept seems to be inspired by some of the entries in the Resident Evil saga, mainly those presented in first-person, and according to some critics, it could even stand at the same level.
Hitori De Productions has only a couple of published titles: Supernormal (2024), Supernatural (2024), and Dream Cage (2025), whose full article you can read right here on Max Level Gamer by clicking HERE. Even so, Bleak Haven showcases impressive and highly immersive visuals that promises to stand up to some of the most recent AAA games on the market. Without a doubt, a demanding survival horror, whose official trailer you can watch below, courtesy of GameTrailers on YouTube:
Cults, Secrets, and Creatures That Should Stay Asleep
We do not know too much about Bleak Haven’s story. What we do know is that we play as Tyler, whose brother has mysteriously disappeared. One day, Tyler suddenly receives a location from his brother’s cell phone, so he decides to follow the lead, which takes him to a remote, fog-shrouded island filled with dangers and secrets that no one should ever uncover. He was sure he would rescue his brother and save the day, but instead, all he found was an unimaginable nightmare.

Bleak Haven is a first-person survival horror in which we explore abandoned villages, crypts, ruins, and underground chambers, all of them filled with twisted secrets and remnants of a past long buried on purpose. On this island, we must fight for our lives against grotesque humanoid abominations and impossible creatures, using blunt melee weapons and a few firearms whose ammo is extremely limited. In these environments, we also encounter challenging puzzles, cryptic symbols, odd mechanisms, and many documents left behind by the cultists and other survivors.
“Built in Unreal Engine 5, Bleak Haven features performance-captured cutscenes, immersive voice acting, and a haunting atmosphere. The story blends seamlessly into gameplay for a grounded, emotionally heavy experience.“

So…
Now then, even though, as we said, we do not know too much about Bleak Haven’s story, we can highlight a few interesting things: Its official release date is this October 27th, less than three weeks away! Furthermore, if you do not want to wait that long and would rather get an early idea of how the game is shaping up, you can visit its Steam page and download its FREE DEMO, as well as add it to your Wishlist of course, and check its technical requirements.
