The indie studio Have a Dream and the publisher Two Cakes Studio will soon announce the launch of their new Sci-Fi FPS of cosmic horror: Delusion Out of Space. While its Steam page says nothing about a possible release window, according to official information shared on YouTube, it is expected to arrive on the market in 2026, so we should not get our hopes up anytime soon. Still, we think this title gives us several reasons to keep an eye on it.
Although Two Cakes Studio still has few published games, there are at least a dozen games currently in development that appear on its list of future publications. In this case, Have a Dream has gone for a highly immersive Sci-Fi aesthetic that effortlessly makes us feel like the protagonists in some movies from the iconic Alien saga. If you want to have an idea of what we are talking about, right below these lines you can see for yourself the Official Cinematic Trailer of Delusion Out of Space, shared from the GameTrailers channel on YouTube:
Sci-Fi and Cosmic Horror Are Always a Good Combination
In this story, we wake up on a mysterious spaceship in the middle of ruins and chaos. The systems are failing and the dark corridors hide unimaginable dangers lurking. Still, what troubles us the most is that strange voice that keeps resonating in our head, calling us, urging us to go deeper into the ship, in which scientists once carried out dangerous experiments on consciousness.
Eh’vos, of the Nyarlath race, tried to unlock a new potential for his species, and he was willing to risk everything for that goal. But apparently things did not turn out as he had planned, and now everything is out of control. The consequences of those daring experiments hide in every corner of the dark corridors ahead, but obviously we have to keep moving forward no matter what gets in our way.

In this game we explore the ship, make decisions at key moments and see how our decisions shape our destiny and that of others around us. In Delusion Out of Space, survival does not depend only on our weapons, but on our ability to choose the perfect moment to dodge or block incoming attacks. Improvising and adapting is exactly the key to staying alive.
And as if that were not enough, we also face challenging puzzles that require both logic and creativity to move forward in the story, immersing us at times in an original variety of unique mini-games related to the controls of the devices of the strange ship that serves as our setting. The ship is a living ecosystem in which everything fulfills its assigned purpose. Each inhabitant of the ship performs necessary functions, and every interaction with them will reveal both opportunities and threats.

But, facing so many hostile factors, we have a wide variety of versatile weapons made from recovered materials, each with different functionalities: firing precise shots, making use of overwhelming power at the risk of overheating, or freezing enemies instead. With this equipment, we can explore the active and strictly forbidden sections of the ship, adapting to different hidden paths, technical tunnel systems, and oppressive dark corridors.
We cannot trust. Except for a few exceptions, everything we find in this place wants to kill us!

So…
Okay, let’s recap: the launch of Delusion Out of Space will be announced soon, although according to information from different media, we should expect it at some point in 2026. Anyway, you can visit its Steam page, which you will obviously find right below, add it to your Wishlist, and also request access to its Playtest, which is going on right now.
