In times when both survival games and horror games are at their peak, the indie studio Kevir Entertainment sets out to bring us an experience that promises to be truly challenging. A demanding first-person psychological horror game whose story unfolds in the shadow of the Cold War. This adventure features high-quality realistic graphics, which, without a doubt, promise a high level of immersion, something we always appreciate, of course.
With a retro aesthetic in its designs, and an atmosphere reminiscent of mystery or horror films from the ’80s, Operation Stutter aims to transport us to an unknown and hostile setting, in which we will have very few tools, even fewer resources, and an extremely limited inventory to store what we find. In this context, the choices about what to carry, what to leave behind, or when exactly to take a shot instead of saving ammunition, will be the key mechanic for our survival. What is Operation Stutter about?
This proposal by Kevir Entertainment is a first-person psychological horror game whose setting takes us back to the Cold War years. Facing the imminent threat of nuclear annihilation, this story invites us to delve into a disturbing and fragmented narrative, uncovering a top-secret operation and fighting against the paranoia that threatens to consume us. If we manage to survive, in this place we could even discover secrets from our own past!
We wake up in a cold, dimly lit room deep inside a nuclear facility. As we might expect, we don’t know who we are or why we are in that place, nor the reason our only remnants of memory feel somehow… strange, or “fragmented”. So, without knowing much of anything, we must explore countless winding corridors and dark chambers, little by little discovering rumors of a classified program: “Operation Stutter”, and seeing that the more we investigate, the more reality itself seems to fracture around us.

As if that weren’t enough, our perception is not the only disturbing thing: in this place that seems to be constantly changing as if the facility itself were alive, making even familiar locations later feel unfamiliar, there seems to be something much worse lurking in the shadows.
Resources are scarce and our means of survival even scarcer. We have a basic camera, which, without a doubt, is our most reliable tool in the dark, capturing anomalies, revealing hidden messages, or exposing things that are not supposed to exist, but even the film we can use with it is scarce as well, so every shot counts. At times, we can find weapons, which give us a fleeting sense of safety and power, but our ammunition is limited and hard to find, and every shot is a choice between immediate survival or mortal danger later on.

“Operation Stutter’s world is steeped in Cold War aesthetics and brutalist architecture, brought to life with the visual language of arthouse cinema inspired by the meticulous framing of Stanley Kubrick. Every environment feels alive — from concrete-clad corridors to flooded chambers, from sterile research labs to oppressive underground shelters. The interplay of light, shadow, and color creates a cinematic unease that reflects the story’s themes of paranoia and isolation.”
