Do Not Harm Official Release Date : March 6
Do you imagine being a doctor in the late 19th century, on a small island abandoned by God, which also seems to exist in the middle of a universe straight out of H.P. Lovecraft’s mind? …Well, that is precisely the premise that the folks at Darts Games will bring us on March 6. This studio already has at least three games in full development, the other two being Lunar Ascendant and Revolution: The Spark, games that will be released soon and that have nothing to do in genres, style, or story with today’s topic: Do Not Harm, a doctor simulator, yes, you read that right, a DOCTOR simulator.
The thing is, Do Not Harm is not just any doctor simulator. To begin with, it takes place on a remote British island called Thomas’ Island, in the year 1889. You are the new doctor who has arrived on its shores, and the people of the little village that lives there do not trust you, not knowing exactly whether to judge you as a fraud or a savior. The game defines itself as “Doctor Simulator with a Lovecraftian Twist”… and we still haven’t told you everything. Besides countless villagers, multiple creatures of different kinds will come to your office, forcing you to decide what to do in each case. Your objective? Survive 30 days.
Are You Ready to Be a Doctor?
As we said before, and as the devs at Darts Games mention on Do Not Harm’s Steam page, this game is “A Doctor Simulator with a Lovecraftian twist. Diagnose patients by analyzing unsettling symptoms and treat them using your Book of Medicine. Make moral choices, decide who to save or kill, discover whom to trust, and unlock multiple endings! Can you endure 30 days of perilous decisions?” …In this game, you will not be using cutting-edge technology to diagnose or treat your patients. Instead, as would be expected, your tools will be typical of the 19th century, many of them even somewhat cryptic, can you imagine that?
One thing the developers do not mention, but that can be easily noticed at first glance, is the humorous cartoonish art style in the entire game. This simulator proposes a unique mix of strategy and horror that promises to keep you hooked until the end, or the endings, because there will be more than 10, and you will have the inherent challenge of discovering them all, and thus knowing the truth behind the mysteries surrounding Thomas’ Island.

What Can You Find in Do Not Harm?
Here is a list of the highlighted features you will find in this title, according to its Steam page:
Lovecraftian Atmosphere
- Nightmarish entities that warp reality as you play, causing hallucinations, blocking your ability to interact with items, and even deceiving you about treatment results.
- Anomalies creeping into your daily medical practice, impacting your Sanity.
- Lovecraftian story involving the proxy war between Azathoth and Cthulhu over the island village and through it the world and humanity.
19th-century Doctor Simulator
- Diagnose patients based on their symptoms
- Use tools to narrow down treatment possibilities and inject the patients with the medicine
- Consult your Book of Medicine, a beautifully crafted grimoire-like guide.
- Experiment with remedies inspired by Early Modern medicine and hope they work… or brace for the consequences.
Rich Story & Multiple Endings
- Reputation system impacting how villagers act around you
- Each diagnosis, treatment, and moral decision impacts the outcome, leading to multiple endings. Find all 12 endings.
- Survive 30 Days: Navigate the pressures of treating the sick while also surviving for 30 days in an increasingly hostile environment.
- Will you save the villagers, descend into madness, or uncover the truth behind the horrors?

That’s how things are, Do Not Harm proposes an innovative and surely fun idea, that for me, without being a fan of this type of simulator, is already looking more than interesting. As you may have guessed, its requirements are not too demanding, and, given its multiple endings, it offers hours of fun and detective-style investigation, to call it something, in a world where terrifying creatures and humans roam freely alike. Are you ready to be the new doctor in town?
Darts Games will release Do Not Harm on the market on March 6 through Steam, but you can already add it to your Wishlist. And in fact, by visiting its Steam page, you can request access to its Playtest right now. Whatever your decision, we will have to wait to enjoy the full version of this game, so in the meantime, how about taking a look at the comments and telling us what you think about this proposal? You know, doctor, we’ll be reading you! 😉
