SLACKJAW will be the first game from indie studio Nostromo Interactive: a first-person psychological horror thriller that will put us in the shoes of the last prey of a deranged serial killer. In this immersive adventure with super realistic graphics, we’ll have to use our wits and the few resources we’ll have, in order to survive. Through escape room-style mechanics, we’ll have to explore the tight and suffocating spaces, discover secrets and solve puzzles, while we plan our escape.
Throughout this entire adventure, we’ll be stalked by our pursuer, this relentless killer who will not rest until he catches us, so we’ll have to stay silent if we really want to get out alive. Nostromo Interactive proposes to us an intense experience that will undoubtedly have what’s needed to keep us on the edge of our seat from beginning to end. A Short But Intense Adventure
SLACKJAW is based on a raw true story: “My Escape from the Slackjaw Killer”, the true crime podcast that blew up in the United States in 2024, which presented an interview with the only known surviving victim. This game has been meticulously recreated from testimonies, photos from the real crime scene, and FBI reports, offering us a highly realistic experience that will force us to ask ourselves all the time… will we survive?
Using escape room-style mechanics, we’ll have to explore the environment and discover secrets and clues that, besides helping us uncover the truth behind these horrible crimes, will help us stay alive and manage to escape our pursuer. Upstairs, just meters away, he will be stalking, waiting for the perfect moment to turn us into one more victim on his list, and only our wits and our courage will keep us alive. We’ll have to stay silent, without alerting the killer, since any tiny sound out of the ordinary could reveal our position, and be the last move we make.

SLACKJAW promises to be one of those short but intense adventures, which, if we manage to survive and depending on our guts, might very well be completed in a single play session. But let’s not confuse game time with quality, since throughout our gamer experience we’ve seen it all, from long stories packed with elements but without meaning or identity, to incredibly short narratives that have managed both to scare us and to stir up strong emotions, and even steal a tear or two from us.
