You probably already know Achilles Survivor, the hit roguelite developed by Dark Point Games and published by Galaktus, which entered early access in January of this year. Over the past few months, it has gathered tons of positive reviews on Steam, so it has definitely caught the attention of the media. Now, in just three more weeks, its full version will be released, which will give us full access to this addictive and entertaining game that, while it evokes references from other genres, has a very strong identity of its own.
This roguelite is comparable to other titles in the genre in many ways, although it stands out significantly in some of its main features, such as its visuals and the fluidity with which hundreds and hundreds of enemies fill the screen trying to take us down. While I won’t go into a whole section about it, I personally can’t help but see a bit of similarity with great icons from other genres, like Titan Quest, to name just one. However, Achilles Survivor doesn’t need any references to make a strong mark in the market, as you’ll see in its Official Release Date Trailer that we’re leaving below, courtesy of GameTrailers:
A Frenetic Roguelite Set in Ancient Greece

That’s how the description begins for this addictive and frenetic game by Dark Point Games, a full-blown roguelite, partly bullet-hell, set in an ancient Greece filled with myths and legends that shaped entire cultures. Here we play as Achilles, or one of the legendary souls freed from Tartarus, and we face relentless waves of enemies and monsters of every imaginable size, using not only our weapons, but also powerful spells and divine abilities whose visual display is nothing short of stunning.
As we progress, we unlock access to new legendary survivors, each with different powers and unique playstyles, which adds a very appealing variety and high replay value to the whole adventure. Our survivor can place traps, create healing sanctuaries, and even summon allies! The game features a unique structure-building system capable of drastically changing the course of battle when things get desperate. Plus, the permanent progression system ensures upgrades that will carry over from one run to the next, making us increasingly better prepared for what’s coming.

As you can see, there’s not much we can tell you that you haven’t already experienced if you’ve had the chance to play it during early access. However, the launch of the complete and final version guarantees us even more content, weapons, and survivors than what you know so far. Achilles Survivor will officially release on July 29th, in about three weeks, although you can either already add it to your Wishlist or buy it outright, taking advantage of an interesting 20% discount currently on Steam.
Additionally, you can also get it as part of a bundle with Yet Another Zombie Survivors, another super appealing and addictive roguelite released in July 2023, both with a 25% discount, or with Be My Horde, from 2024, another excellent title in the genre, with a 17% discount. If, instead, you’re interested in adding the Legends Untold expansion to the main game, you can get both with a juicy 49% discount!
