Lost Skies – An Epic Open World To Explore!
Bossa Studios and publisher Humble Games (Signalis – 2022, Moonscars – 2022) will be launching their impressive open-world game Lost Skies in early access this April 18th. While in recent years we’ve seen several games that stand out for the great level of freedom they offer players, this new game seems determined to take things to a completely new level.
Curiously, this game is based on Worlds Adrift, another MMO also by Bossa Studios that was launched in early access back in 2017, and after many complications and controversies, never got to be released as a full and finalized game. After seeing the look and ambitions of this new Lost Skies, everything seems to indicate that they could achieve now what they didn’t back then. Have you seen how good Lost Skies looks? If not, we invite you to take a look at the Official Release Date Trailer just below these lines, courtesy of GameTrailers:
An Open World and Open Skies Game
Lost Skies is the new cooperative survival open-world game developed by Bossa Studios and published by Humble Games, which will be launching this coming April 18th in early access, the same day as the re-release of Defiance, which will mess up my schedule a bit, but oh well, I will find time for both XD. Going back to Lost Skies, this new game invites players to explore a vast universe of floating islands, whether solo or in teams of up to five players, having to build in each case our flying ship that fulfills the role of airborne base and at the same time battle vessel.
This appealing and accessible survival-lite proposal, which adds aerial combat mechanics and vertical exploration that includes a grappling hook and different types of gliders, is the first stage of early access in which players will begin their adventure in Region 1, Outskirts, in an environment made up of airborne islands created both by the developers and the community using the Island Creator tool. Among them we will find three types of islands with different levels of difficulty, wild fauna, hostile ancient technology, and puzzles to solve. All progress will revolve around resource gathering, item creation, gear upgrading, and constant exploration.

In Lost Skies we will embark on an epic journey through the skies exploring the remains of ancient civilizations and discovering the mysteries behind their fall. As we go on exploring further and further, we will need to use the Atlas, the mysterious power that keeps the world afloat, to solve puzzles and discover the valuable technology left by those who came before. However, we will find ourselves stalked by different dangers at the most unexpected moments, both in the skies and on land. We will have to face different types of turrets, as well as ancient drones that will chase us and will try to hunt us down across the floating islands. Additionally, we will take part in epic battles against colossal beings that have been sailing the skies ever since they caused humanity’s destruction.
The greatest adventure is about to begin: embark on it alone or with friends to build your base, sail the skies, explore, fight, and discover the mysteries of this world that awaits you. And you already know, the road won’t be easy, but you will have everything you may need to face what’s coming. And what you don’t have, you will be able to build. What do you say? Are you joining the adventure?

So…
You already know how this goes, Lost Skies will be launching on the 18th of this month, although obviously you can already go to its Steam page, which of course you will find at the bottom of this article, and add it to your Wishlist just like I did. And while we wait, blah blah blah, comments, blah blah blah, your opinion and all that! No really, we do want to know what you think, that part isn’t a joke. You know gamer, we’ll be reading you! 🙂
