Star Wars Outlaws Technical Gameplay Trailer

It’s a fact that Star Wars Outlaws promises a lot, at least in theory. We are talking about a game that, if it meets its goals, will make the most of the cutting-edge technologies available to players with high-end current PCs. This new open world of the Star Wars universe, presented by Ubisoft, will be playable on a wide range of computers, but as indicated by the minimum and recommended requirements released earlier this month, some of the game’s key features will only be available to those with powerful equipment.

Indeed, Massive Entertainment is known for making its titles, developed with the Snowdrop graphics engine, highly scalable. They look good on consoles and mid-range computers, but as they demonstrated years ago with The Division 2 and more recently with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, their games are an audiovisual spectacle if you have the necessary components to use all their functions. It seems that the galactic adventure starring Kay Vess and Nix will be as well.

The Best of Cutting-Edge Technologies

As is usual in blockbusters, the title will support ultra-wide resolutions (up to 21:9) and multiple monitors, as well as the ability to activate it on a 16:9 screen. It will run with an unlimited frame rate for those who prefer it, and is compatible with Nvidia Reflex to reduce latency. Also, the latest scaling technologies are included (remember that the requirements were shared with these activated): AMD FSR 3.0 and Intel XESS 1.3 for scaling and frame generation, as well as Nvidia DLSS 3.5.

The Nvidia tool is used for Super Resolution and frame generation, but also for ray reconstruction in ray tracing, which yields excellent results in titles like Cyberpunk 2077. Those with an RTX GPU can also activate dynamic ray-traced lighting (RTXDI). Ray tracing, by the way, is applied in various elements: global lighting, reflections, and shadows.

Ubisoft adds that the title is “optimized” for 14th generation Intel Core processors and is compatible with MSI Ambient Link. The footage shows a wide range of options to modify the visual appearance and to assign keys and buttons for walking, driving a vehicle, or flying with the ship.

There’s possibly no one on earth who doesn’t know what we’re talking about when we mention Star Wars, as its fandom, which was born in the original trilogy of movies decades ago, has grown and expanded into video games, among many other areas over many years. Star Wars Outlaws is perhaps the most anticipated by hundreds of thousands of fans who have followed each of the movies, series, and video games in the Star Wars universe, and who will now be able to enjoy an open world brought by some of the most experienced developers in the market today… Without a doubt, we all await it eagerly!

And now we invite you to swing by the comments and leave us your opinion about this universe, and specifically about this news: do you have a NASA-worthy PC? Come on, tell us, because, you know, gamer, we’ll be reading! 😉
